News
13/October/2011 - A new APRS Digipeater WR4AGC-3 is on the air just East of Hillsborough and covers nicely from East Durham to Greensboro. It works well with the new I-Gate W4CPS at the Durham Central Park School. Look for APRS activity in Durham as we use APRS for the Habitat Halloween Bike Ride October 29.
20/August/2010 - On Sunday, 22/August/2010, two local hams KB4TYE and N8VNR will be launching a high altitude balloon to near space. This balloon will be carrying an APRS tracker beaconing the callsign KB4TYE=11. You can follow it at the High Altitude Balloon page. Update: Sadly the tracker appeared to malfunction and only 3 packets were ever received, none of which were igated. The balloon disappeared and was a complete loss.
13/October/2009 - If you would like to have an APRS map on your user page like the one KB4TYE has, edit your user page and use the <aprsfimap> tag. You must specify a callsign and then optionally a map width and height like this:
<aprsfimap>KB4TYE|width=400|height=400</aprsfimap>
